With a passion for media that began in my early years with the kids’ weekly magazine “Phool Aur Kaliyan” by Nawa e Waqat پھول اور کلیاں, my journey has spanned across various newspapers (Daily Sahafat, Daily Halat) and news agencies (Online News International, National News Network) in AJK, Pakistan. In 2004, I relocated to the United Kingdom, contributing as a volunteer to diverse media outlets like KBC TV, Takbeer TV, Radio Salam, and Radio Ramadhan.
In 2010, I took on a pivotal role at Inspire FM Luton as a full-time News Caster, progressing to Studio Programming Manager. By February 2016, I found myself in Sheffield, assuming the position of Station Manager at Link FM until June 2019. Presently, I serve as the Station Operations Manager at Link Sheffield and hold the role of Director at Reach to Public. As a media consultant, I collaborate with various radio stations across the United Kingdom.
At the heart of my contributions is the hosting of the largest Urdu current affairs radio programme on community radio station, broadcasting across 14 stations in the UK. I proudly founded the Community Radio Network and serve as the Director of Sheffield Mela and the online radio venture, Radio Kashmir. Additionally, I am a proud member of the NUJ (National Union of Journalists) in the UK and hold a membership with the IFJ (International Federation of Journalists).
